Brightlines are delighted to announce their ongoing partnership with the British Council to provide high-quality subtitle translation for the short films included in the #FiveFilms4Freedom series.

The festival, which runs in collaboration with BFI Flare, is the fifth edition of the series and is the world’s widest-reaching online LGBTQ+ short film festival. As part of the #AnyoneAnywhere season, the British Council are encouraging people to watch the films in solidarity with the  LGBTQ+ communities, wherever they are in the world. They are placing particular focus on areas where freedom and equal rights are limited to recognise the fact that ‘Love is a Human Right’ and that the web should be a free and open space for all.

Brightlines have been providing translation for the film festival for the last two years. We strongly believe in the concept behind the festival, and are proud to be involved in such an inclusive and eye opening project.

The film festival runs from the 21st to the 31st March 2019. You can watch interviews with the filmmakers on the British Council website.
